About Haveli Ludo
Twelve tables across the city, from the terracotta courtyard of an old haveli to a kite-season rooftop, a lantern-lit night bazaar and the marble pavilion where the champions play. Every regular has a habit: one hides on the stars, one chases anything within six squares, one never splits a pair.
Ludo against the computer for 2 to 4 players or 2 against 2: house rules, easy to hard players, a twelve-table tournament and a daily match.
How to play Haveli Ludo
Each player has four tokens in a yard. Tap the die to roll; a 6 brings a token out onto your coloured start square, and every roll moves one token that many squares clockwise around the board. After almost a full lap a token turns into its own coloured column and needs the exact number to reach home. Landing on a single rival token sends it back to its yard, except on the stars and the coloured start squares, where everyone is safe. Two of your tokens on one square form a pair that cannot be captured and that no rival can land on. A 6, a capture and a token reaching home each give another roll, but a third 6 in a row loses the turn. The first player to bring all four tokens home wins. On the title screen you can change the house rules: tokens out on a 1 or a 6, the sixes rule, captures anywhere or no captures, and how many tokens must come home (one token for a quick match). The tournament has twelve tables in six venues, from one against one to four players and 2 against 2 with a computer partner, each with its own regulars. The free match lets every seat be a computer, a friend on the same device or empty, and the daily match gives everyone the same dice. Tap a glowing token to move it; when only one move is possible it plays itself. Keys: Space rolls, 1 to 4 move a token, Tab and the arrow keys move between tokens and Enter moves the chosen one.

Tips
- Bring a second token out early: with two or more tokens on the board every roll gives you a real choice.
- Stop on stars and your start square when a rival token sits one to six squares behind you; nobody can capture you there.
- Keep two tokens together on a square in front of a rival: the pair cannot be captured and blocks that square for them.
- Before you move a token past a rival, count: if you land one to six squares ahead of it, you give it a one in six chance to send you home.
- Save a token near your home column for a roll that fits nothing else; the exact number is needed to reach home.
Frequently asked questions
How do I win at Haveli Ludo?
Bring a second token out early so every roll gives you a real choice, keep two tokens paired on one square when a rival is close, since a pair cannot be captured, and save a token near your home column for a roll that would otherwise waste a move.
Is Haveli Ludo hard? What do the difficulty levels change?
Easy opponents make human-like mistakes. Hard opponents read risk exactly, always take a safe capture when one is on offer, and in 2 against 2 will stand in front of a partner token that is in danger.
How many players can play Haveli Ludo?
2 to 4 players, or 2 against 2 with a computer or friend as your partner. Any seat can be a computer, a friend on the same device, or left empty.
Does Haveli Ludo save my progress?
Your house rules, tournament standing and stats stay on this device. Use Sync devices to move them to a new phone or browser with a one-time code; there is no account.
Can I play Haveli Ludo on my phone?
Yes. Tap the die to roll and tap a glowing token to move it; if only one move is possible, it plays itself.
Is there a daily match in Haveli Ludo?
Yes, everyone gets the same sequence of dice rolls that day, so a win comes down to which tokens you move.
