Octet Spider Solitaire

Two decks lie across ten columns, most of the cards face down. Each suit has to be gathered from King to Ace in one unbroken run before it can leave the table, eight times over, like the eight voices of an octet coming in one by one.

Spider solitaire with 1, 2 or 4 suits, unlimited undo, hints and a daily deal that is the same for everyone. Clear eight King to Ace runs.

Two decks are dealt into ten columns, the top card of each face up, and the rest wait in the stock. Move a card onto any card one rank higher, whatever its suit. A group of cards can be moved together only when it runs down in one suit. When a column holds a full run from King to Ace in one suit, it goes off to the foundation; clear all eight runs to win. Any card or suited run can go into an empty column. Tap the stock to deal one card onto every column; a deal needs every column filled, unless fewer than ten cards are left on the table. Tap a card to send it to the best place, or drag it where you want. Undo has no limit and Hint points out a useful move, or the stock when dealing is the best thing left. Once the stock is empty and every card is face up, the game finishes by itself when it can. If the game finds that no sequence of moves can turn a card over or clear a run any more, it says so and offers Undo or End game. Give up ends the game after a second tap to confirm. Choose 1 suit (easy), 2 suits (medium) or 4 suits (hard) for each deal; the daily deal uses 2 suits. Keys: Z or Backspace to undo, H for a hint, Space, D or Enter to deal. Score: 100 for every run cleared; a win adds 500 less 1 for every move, deal and undo, and a lost or abandoned deal keeps only the run points. Winning a deal opens hard mode: no Undo and no Hint.
