About Istaka Okey
A corner table in a tea house, a wooden rack in front of you and three regulars who never lose track of the pile: Selin plays by feel, Cevat counts the tiles, and Nermin watches everything you pick up.
Okey, the Turkish tile rummy, against three computer players of different strength. Draw, discard, and finish first with runs, sets or seven pairs.
How to play Istaka Okey
Each player holds 14 tiles on a rack; the dealer starts with 15 and opens by discarding one. On your turn, draw the top tile from the pile in the middle or take the tile the player on your left just discarded, then discard one tile to your right; a tile taken from the left cannot be discarded again on the same turn. Tap a tile to lift it and tap it again to discard, or drag it to your discard spot. Drag tiles along the rack to arrange them, or sort them with Runs, Sets and Pairs. The tile one above the face-up indicator, in the same colour, is the okey (when the indicator is a 13, the 1 of that colour is the okey): both okey tiles are wild and carry a gold rim. The two clover tiles are not wild: they stand for the okey's number and colour. You finish when your other 14 tiles all fit in runs (three or more of one colour in a row, 12-13-1 counts but 13-1-2 does not) or sets (three or four of one number in different colours), or in seven pairs of two identical tiles; Finish lights up when your hand is complete. A finish scores 2 points, doubled for seven pairs and doubled again when the tile you finish with is an okey. Showing the indicator's twin on your first turn scores 1. If the pile runs out, nobody scores that hand. The first player to 7 points wins the match, and the daily challenge deals everyone the same hands. Keys: Space or D draws from the pile, T takes the discard on your left, the left and right arrows lift a tile and Enter discards it, R, S and C sort into runs, sets and pairs, F finishes. Winning a match opens hard mode, where all three opponents play at full strength.

Features
Three opponents, three strengths
You play against three computer opponents, each set to a different strength, so no two seats at the table make the same decisions.
First to 7 points wins
A match is a race to 7 points. Finishing a hand scores 2 points, doubled for seven pairs and doubled again if the tile you finish with is an okey.
Daily challenge
The daily challenge deals everyone the same hands for the day, so a win compares your reading of the table against every other player's.
Hard mode
Winning a match unlocks hard mode, where all three opponents play at their strongest level instead of a mix of strengths.
Tips
- Keep the tiles that could still complete a group: once both copies of the tile a run needs have been discarded, that run is dead.
- Taking the discard on your left shows the next player what you are collecting; take it when it completes a group, draw from the pile otherwise.
- Watch what the player on your right picks up and avoid discarding tiles next to it in number or colour.
- With five or more pairs of identical tiles, switching to seven pairs is often faster, and it scores double.
- Never throw away an okey unless you are finishing with it: as the finishing tile it doubles your points.
Frequently asked questions
How do I win a match?
Be the first to reach 7 points. You score by finishing a hand (2 points, doubled for seven pairs, doubled again if you finish with an okey) or by showing the indicator's twin on your first turn (1 point).
What do my other 14 tiles need to form to finish?
Runs of three or more tiles in one color in sequence, sets of three or four tiles of one number in different colors, or seven pairs of identical tiles.
What is the okey and how do I spot it?
The okey is the tile one number above the face-up indicator, in the same color; both okey tiles are wild and marked with a gold rim.
How do I unlock hard mode?
Win a match. Hard mode then puts all three opponents at their strongest level instead of a mix.
Does Istaka Okey save my progress?
Progress is saved on the device you play on, no account exists. A sync code can move it to another device.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes. Tap a tile to lift it and tap again to discard it, or drag it to your discard spot.
