About Crater Tanks
Eight fronts, one gun crew. From the Meadow sea cliffs to the shifting gravity of the Rift, every battlefield has its own trick, and the Warden waits at the end of it.
Turn-based tank artillery on ground that breaks. Set angle and power, read the wind, and blast rival tanks across eight biomes or online.
How to play Crater Tanks
On your turn, drag anywhere on the field and pull back like a slingshot: the direction of the pull sets the barrel angle and its length sets the power. Fine-tune both with the arrow and plus or minus buttons, pick a weapon, and press Fire. The dotted line shows only the first part of the flight, so you judge the landing from the wind, the angle and the power. Wind changes every turn. Blasts carve craters, and a tank with nothing under it falls and takes damage on a long drop. A tank that sinks into the sea, the lava or the void is lost. From round 8 the tide rises every turn. The last side with a tank standing wins.

Features
Eight biomes, eight rules
Meadow, Dunes, Glacier, Caverns, Skyreach, Stormfront, Foundry and Rift. Sand that pours downhill, ice that deflects shells, a rock roof, floating islands, magnetic storm cores, sliding platforms and gravity that changes every turn.
Forty-battle campaign
Five battles per biome against bots of six ranks, from Rookie to Warden, with a boss at the end of every biome and up to three stars per battle.
Ten weapons with trade-offs
Shell, Heavy, Roller, Digger, Mound, Bouncer, Splitter, Jump jets, Shield and Megaton. Buy rounds, armor plating and a better gun sight with the coins you win.
Online for two to four
Play friends with a room link, everyone for themselves on a map from any biome. A bot takes over the tank of a player who leaves.
Daily skirmish and hard mode
The same four-tank battle for everyone each day, and a hard mode with sharper, tougher enemy tanks once you clear the Dunes.
Tips
- Change one thing at a time between shots: keep the angle and adjust only the power, and you will walk your shells onto the target.
- Shoot the ground under a tank on a ledge: a long fall hurts, and a tank that drops into the water is gone.
- A higher arc is pushed longer by the wind; in a strong wind, flatten the shot.
- Keep a Jump jets round for the tide: from round 8 the water rises every turn, and low ground floods first.
- Shields block blasts but not falls, so do not raise one while standing on a ledge that can be shot away.
Frequently asked questions
How do I aim in Crater Tanks?
Drag anywhere on the field and pull back: the pull sets the angle and the power. Use the buttons or the arrow keys for fine steps, then press Fire. Only the start of the arc is drawn.
Can I play Crater Tanks with friends?
Yes. Choose Play with a friend, pick two, three or four players and a map, and share the room link. Everyone plays their own turn on their own device.
What does the tide do?
From round 8 the water, lava or void line rises a step every turn, so every battle ends. Tanks on low ground are lost first; Jump jets can carry you higher.
Why did my tank take damage without being hit?
A tank falls when the ground under it is blasted away, and a drop of more than a short step costs armor. Shields do not block fall damage.
Does Crater Tanks save my campaign?
Stars, coins, rounds and upgrades stay on this device. Sync devices on the site moves them to another phone or browser with a one-time code; there is no account.
Can I play Crater Tanks on my phone?
Yes, in portrait or landscape. A small map at the top of the portrait screen shows the whole battlefield; tap it to look around.
