About Fettle Merge
The shop opens at eight and the tickets start coming before the kettle boils. The crates on the shelf hold what stock there is, and only paid tickets bring more.
A merge-2 workshop: tap crates for items, merge pairs up eight-step ladders and fill tickets that restock the crates. No energy, no waiting.
How to play Fettle Merge
Tap a supply crate on the shelf and the item showing in its open lid hops onto the nearest free cell of the bench. Drag an item onto an identical one and the two become the next item of that line: two twigs make a log, two logs a plank, up to eight steps per line. Tickets pegged above the bench ask for one item, two items of two lines, or the same item twice; drag an item onto the ticket that wants it, or tap the ticket to hand in everything it wants that is on the bench. The crates share one stock, shown at the top: every tap takes one, and every paid ticket restocks the crates by about what it should have cost. Each ticket has a rush bar counted in taps; paid before the bar runs out, it restocks in full, pays half again in coins and keeps your streak going, while a late ticket restocks less than half. Moving, merging, handing in and dropping things in the scrap basket cost nothing, and no clock runs. The shift ends when the stock is gone and no ticket can be finished from what is on the bench. Merges never split, so a pair merged one step too far may be of no use to the next ticket. More crates arrive as the shift goes on and every crate gives bigger items later in the shift; every fourth ticket of a rush streak puts a polish tin on the bench that raises any item one step. Journey mode has 30 stages in five workshops with parcels on the bench that open when you merge next to them.

Features
No energy, no waiting
There is no timer and nothing to buy. The crates hold a shared stock that paid tickets refill, so a good shift is a well-planned one.
Six lines, eight steps each
Timber, Hardware, Wool, Pottery, Garden and Books, from a wood shaving to a ladder-back chair and from a clay lump to a gold-banded vase. Every item you make stays lit on the ladder.
Rush and streaks
Pay a ticket before its rush bar runs out for a full restock and half again in coins; rush tickets in a row raise every payment up to double and drop polish tins.
Journey: 30 stages
Five workshops from the Joinery to the Night Market, six stages each, with their own crates, line mixes and parcels on the bench. Pay half or three quarters of the tickets on the rush for more stars.
Work a shift with a friend
Send a link and share one bench, one rail of tickets and one stock, for a shift of 10 or 20 tickets. You see your friend's hand move and pick things up as it happens.
Daily shift
Once a day everyone gets the same tickets, the same crates and the same starting bench, and the score is compared with that day's players.
Tips
- Look at the item in each crate's open lid before you tap: a tap on a crate whose next item nobody wants spends stock for nothing.
- Hold a pair when a ticket asks for the same item twice; merged, the two make one item of the next step and the ticket still waits.
- Finish one ticket at a time: a ticket paid on the rush restocks in full, a late one restocks less than half.
- Tap a ticket to hand in everything it wants from the bench at once.
- Save polish tins for the step a ticket is waiting on: on a step-six item a tin is worth thirty-two step-one items.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an energy bar or anything to buy?
No. Nothing refills over time and nothing is for sale. The crates hold a shared stock that only paid tickets refill.
What does the bar on a ticket mean?
It is the rush: how many more crate taps you can make before the ticket is paid late. A ticket paid on the rush restocks the crates in full and pays half again; a late one restocks less than half.
When does the shift end?
When the stock is gone and none of the tickets can be finished from what is on the bench. Merging, moving and handing in never cost stock.
What happens when the bench is full?
The crates stop until you make room. Merge a pair, hand something in, or drag an item into the scrap basket at the end of the shelf.
Can I play with a friend?
Yes. Choose Play with a friend and send the link. You both work the same bench and stock at the same time, and the shift is won or lost together.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Drag items with a finger; the item lifts above your fingertip so you can see where it goes. You can also tap an item and then tap where it should go. It works upright and sideways.
