About Tincture Flag Quiz
You run the flag loft on the harbour: every flag that comes in must be named before it is hoisted. Name one right and its colours run into your four dye jars, and the dye buys you help with the hard ones.
Name 203 flags and their capitals. Every flag you get right pours its colours into ink jars that buy powers. 48 stages, a daily quiz and races.
How to play Tincture Flag Quiz
A flag flies on the pole and four answers wait below it; tap the right one before the clock runs out. Later chapters ask the other way round: find a country's flag among four, pick its capital, spot its real flag among three tampered copies, find the flag behind a capital, name a flag while it unfurls, or match four flags to four names. Each right answer scores up to 200 points, more in a streak, and pours the flag's colours into the red, blue, green and gold jars. Tap a jar to spend its ink: red Strike crosses out two wrong answers, blue Still stops the clock, green Mend wins back a heart, gold Gild triples the next answer. A wrong answer or a timeout costs one of three hearts.

Features
203 flags drawn with care
Every UN member state, Vatican City, Palestine and eight territories, each in its official proportions. Capitals for 183 countries, with Bolivia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Eswatini's several capitals asked as they are.
Colours that buy powers
A right answer pours the flag's colours into four ink jars. Red buys Strike, blue Still, green Mend and gold Gild, so the flags you know pay for the ones you do not.
Eight chapters, 48 stages
Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Islands, Night Watch, Market Square and a Grand Tour, each with its own scene and a new kind of question.
Flag book, daily quiz and marathon
Every flag you name goes into your flag book. Fifteen daily questions are the same for everyone, and the marathon runs until your hearts are gone.
Race a friend
Both players answer the same 12 questions about flags, capitals or both. Most right answers wins; a tie goes to whoever finished first.
Tips
- Spend ink on the questions you are unsure of: Strike leaves a coin toss between two answers, and the jar refills as you name more flags.
- Save gold for a flag you know: Gild before answering and a fast answer in a streak pays well over a thousand points.
- Answer within the first third of the clock: a fast answer pours a second measure of the flag's main colour.
- Flags of a region share colours: Africa fills green and gold, Europe and the Gulf fill red, so plan which power you can afford.
- Check the details on the true flag questions: the tampered copies swap two colours, mirror the design or shift one shade.
Frequently asked questions
How many flags are in the quiz?
203: the 193 UN member states, the two UN observer states Vatican City and Palestine, and eight territories with flags of their own: Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Åland, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curaçao, the Cook Islands and Niue.
What about countries with more than one capital?
Bolivia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Eswatini have more than one official capital. A question shows one of them as the right answer and never offers another capital of the same country as a wrong one; the answer then lists them all.
How does the ink work?
Each right answer pours one measure of every colour the flag carries into the matching jar, and a fast answer adds a second measure of its main colour. White and black give nothing. A full jar holds nine measures; more spills over for a few points.
What changes in hard mode?
Two hearts instead of three, 30% less time, decoys that look closer to the answer, and every power costs one more measure of ink. It opens after the first chapter or a finished daily.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Stars, opened stages, your flag book and today's daily stay on this device, and the site's device sync can move them to another one.
