About Faience Trivia
Two glazers share one board of bare faience tiles, and every tile hides a question. Answer first and the tile takes your glaze; the first to run a chain of their colour from edge to edge wins the board.
A trivia game where every question is a tile. Pick it, answer before the rival and glaze it blue. Join your edges first. 40 boards, daily and online.
How to play Faience Trivia
The board is a diamond of hexagonal tiles, each marked with a category and one to three dots of difficulty. Take turns picking a tile; then you and the rival both answer its question against the same clock, and the first right answer glazes the tile in that player's colour. A wrong answer locks you out of that question, so the other side can still take it. Your blue tiles must join the top edge to the bottom edge, the rival's terracotta tiles join left to right. Later chapters add true or false tiles, keystones that glaze a neighbour too, order questions, contests that flip a rival tile, fog and wild tiles where the picker names the category.

Features
Every question is a tile you choose
More than 1,200 questions in twelve categories from science to myths. Every tile shows its category and difficulty, so you decide what you are asked and where your chain runs.
Answer first to glaze
Both players answer every question against one clock. The first right answer takes the tile, and a fast answer on the rival's pick steals it.
Eight chapters, 40 boards
Studio, Courtyard, Bathhouse, Map Room, Station Hall, Night Market, Palace Garden and Grand Hall, each with its own setting and a new kind of tile.
Daily board and online play
One board for everyone each day, scored against the day's other players, and a race on one board against a friend.
Tips
- Route your chain through the categories you know best: a tile in your strong subject is a tile you will probably keep.
- A one-dot tile in the rival's path is a cheap wall; save the three-dot tiles for when you need the points.
- Answer on the rival's pick too: a fast right answer steals the tile it wanted.
- Glaze a keystone next to a gap in your chain, then use its free neighbour to close it.
- Watch the count under each name: when the rival is one tile from joining, block before you build.
Frequently asked questions
How do I win a board?
Join your two edges with an unbroken chain of your tiles: blue joins top to bottom, terracotta left to right. A hex board always ends with exactly one winner.
What happens when I answer wrong?
You are locked out of that question and the rival can still answer it. If neither of you gets it, the tile stays open with a fresh question.
Do I have to answer on the rival's turn?
You may. Whoever picked, both players answer the question, and the first right answer glazes the tile.
What changes in hard mode?
The rival knows more and answers faster, your clock is a quarter shorter, and the rival picks first. It opens after the Studio chapter or a won daily board.
Will I see the same questions again?
The game keeps track of the questions it asked you lately and deals others first, so repeats come only after hundreds of questions.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Stars, opened boards and today's daily board stay on this device, and the site's device sync can move them to another one.
