Inlay Block Puzzle

You work an inlayer's tray: sixty-four sockets and a hand of cut tiles, three at a time. Every row or column you complete lifts out clean and frees the space again. The job ends the moment the next tile has nowhere to go.

Fit pieces onto an 8x8 board. Full rows and columns clear, back-to-back clears build a streak that multiplies the score. Daily challenge included.

Three pieces wait under the board. Drag one onto the board: a shadow shows where it will land and lights up every row and column it will complete. A full row or column clears. Clearing two or more lines at once multiplies the points, and clearing on consecutive moves builds a streak that multiplies them again; the streak survives two moves without a clear and breaks on the third. Emptying the whole board adds a bonus of 300 points times your streak. When all three pieces are placed, three new ones arrive. The run ends when none of the pieces on offer fits anywhere. On a keyboard, 1 to 3 or Tab picks a piece, the arrow keys move it and Enter or Space places it. The daily challenge deals everyone the same pieces in the same order. Scoring 3,000 opens hard mode, where harder pieces come sooner and a streak breaks on the first move without a clear.
