About Furrow Farm
Six farms need a hand through the year: a willow croft, hillside terraces, an old orchard, a river meadow, a frosty glasshouse hollow and the fields by the fair. Each day brings a few jobs, the weather does the rest, and the soil remembers every crop you grow.
Sow, water and harvest a few jobs a day, rotate crops to build rich soil and fill orders before they expire. Six farms, 24 maps, co-op with a friend.
How to play Furrow Farm
Pick a job at the bottom: Sow, Water, Harvest, Rest or Dig. Then drag a furrow across neighbouring plots: one stroke is one job, up to three plots (a harvest takes every ripe crop you drag along). When your jobs run out, end the day: overnight the crops grow, rain waters the field or the sun dries it, and dry crops wilt. Deliver orders from the board when the barn holds what they ask for. Crop order changes the soil: beans feed it, most crops use a little, and sowing the same kind twice tires it. A plot at soil 5 is rich: it waters itself and ripens crops a night sooner.
Controls
- Touch
- Tap a job and a seed, then drag a finger across neighbouring plots; tap End day when your jobs are spent.
- Mouse
- Click a job and a seed, then drag across plots; hover a plot to read its soil, water and crop.
- Keyboard
- Keys 1 to 5 pick a job, Q and W change the seed, E ends the day; Tab and Enter reach every button.
Features
Six farms, 24 maps
Willow Croft, Ridge Terraces, Old Orchard, River Meadow, Frost Hollow and Fair Fields hold four maps each, and every farm adds its own rule: runoff down the terraces, apple trees and beehives, river channels, frost and glass, and a market whose prices move every day.
Soil that remembers
Every plot has a soil level from 0 to 5. Rotating crop kinds and growing beans builds it up; rich soil waters itself and ripens crops a night sooner.
Furrows, not clicks
Each job is one stroke across up to three plots, and a harvest takes a whole run of ripe crops at once. Four or more in one furrow add a produce to every crop.
Weather you can plan around
A four-day forecast shows sun, clouds, rain, heat and frost. Rain waters every plot, heat dries them twice as fast, and frost kills tender crops left outdoors.
Stars, hard mode, a daily farm and co-op
Each map has three star goals. Hard mode gives one job fewer a day, the daily farm has the same weather and orders for everyone, and a friend can farm the same field with you.
Tips
- Sow before a rainy night and you save a whole day of watering jobs.
- Plant one crop in a block that ripens together: a harvest of four or more in one furrow gives every crop one extra produce.
- Follow beans with a different crop on the same plot: the soil climbs two levels, and two such harvests make it rich.
- Rich plots water themselves, so put your slow, thirsty crops there and water the rest.
- Check the order board before sowing: an order pays about twice what the wholesaler gives at the end.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to wait for crops to grow?
No. Time only passes when you end the day. Each day you spend your jobs, end the day, and the crops grow overnight at once.
Why did my crop wither?
It had no water for two nights in a row. A drop on the plot warns you a day ahead; rain, a channel or rich soil also keep it watered.
How do I make soil rich?
Harvest beans or peas, and sow a different kind of crop after each harvest. Resting an empty plot adds two levels. At level 5 the plot is rich.
How does co-op work?
Send a link to a friend. You share one farm: each day one of you spends two jobs, then the other, and the night runs. If the farm reaches its coin goal by the last day, you both win.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Drag furrows with a finger; the layout fits a phone held upright or sideways.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Opened maps, stars and best scores stay on this device, and the site's device sync can move them to another one.
