About Curva Football
The curva is the end stand behind the goal, and every shootout in this career is played in front of one: a village field, a harbour ground in the wind, an old town arena at dusk, a floodlit bowl. Ten cups, three matches each, and a goalkeeper at the far end who has been watching where you like to put it.
Penalty football game: take the kicks, then keep goal. Ten cups add wind, rain, free kicks over a wall and keepers who read your shots.
How to play Curva Football
Swipe from the ball to the spot in the goal where you want it to go. A faster swipe strikes harder but the ball lands inside a wider ring, shown while you swipe; a swipe that bends to one side curls the ball. When the rival shoots, tap the part of the goal you want to dive to. Dive as the ball is struck: dive too early and a calm taker puts it the other way. On a keyboard, the arrow keys aim, holding Space winds up the shot and Q and E add curve; when keeping, the arrow keys dive. Each shootout is five kicks each, then sudden death. A goal is worth 100 points, a free-kick goal 200, a save 150, and a top corner, a curled goal or a shot over 28 m/s adds 50 each. Winning a match adds a bonus that grows with the cup. Points are coins: spend them on eight skills, four for shooting and four for keeping. Each cup is three knockout matches; lose one and the cup starts again from the quarter-final. Winning the first cup opens hard mode, where rivals play two levels up and coins count double. The daily shootout gives every player the same match with the same skills.

Tips
- Reading keepers step towards the side you have used most in your last eight kicks; the small grid by the scoreboard shows what he has seen, so aim where it is empty.
- A slower swipe lands inside a smaller ring: into the corners, a firm placed shot beats a full-power strike that may miss the target.
- When keeping, dive at the moment of the strike rather than during the run-up; a stutterer or a chipper punishes an early dive.
- In wind, a penalty drifts a little and a free kick, which flies for longer, drifts much further; aim into the arrow on the wind label.
- On free kicks, a curved swipe that starts outside the end of the wall bends back towards the far post; a low shot only works when the wall jumps.
