About Meltemi Volleyball
Lina and Ari play the summer tour of six beaches, from a calm harbour at dawn to a floodlit final. The pairs waiting there grew up on that sand and know its wind; you learn to make it yours.
Two against two beach volleyball where the wind bends every ball. A tour of 6 beaches with 30 rally missions and 18 matches, or a real-time duel online.
How to play Meltemi Volleyball
Your pair runs to the ball by itself; you make every contact. A ring closes on the ball as it comes: tap as it meets the ball to bump it to your partner, tap again to set, then hold, slide to move the gold aiming ring on the other side and let go as the ring closes to spike. A short aim near the net plays a soft shot over the block, a deep aim a hard drive. To serve, tap to toss, aim and let go at the top. The wind bends every ball after the hit: the gold ring shows where your ball lands, the faint ring where the line of the hit points. A red ring on your side means the ball lands out: leave it and the rally is yours. Beach rules: rally scoring, sets to 21 (15 in a deciding set) won by two, three touches a side, the block counts as a touch, and the pairs switch ends every 7 points.

Features
The wind bends the ball
Every hit lands where you aim with the wind of the moment, so a ball aimed outside the line drifts back in. A kill the wind bent 1 m or more is a wind kill and pays 15 extra points.
6 beaches, 48 tour stops
Harbour Beach, Dune Court, Cliff Cove, Pier Court, Storm Point and the Night Final, each with its own wind and look, 5 rally missions and 3 matches against pairs with their own style.
Skills that open on the tour
The block arrives at Cliff Cove, the attack on two at Pier Court and the sky serve at Storm Point, a serve sent so high that the wind throws it around.
Real beach rules
Rally scoring, sets to 21 with a deciding set to 15, won by two, three touches a side with the block as one of them, and an end switch every 7 points.
Real-time duel online
Send a link and play a friend in real time, each of you making every contact of your pair, on any beach and over a set to 15, a set to 21 or best of three.
Daily match and hard mode
The daily match is the same pair, beach and wind for everyone that day. Beating the Harbour Beach champions opens hard mode, where rivals react faster, read the wind and show no landing ring.
Tips
- Aim a soft shot outside the line with the wind behind it: it starts wide, bends back in, and a defender who follows the line of your hit runs the wrong way.
- Watch the blocker before you spike: if they stand in front of the line, hit across the court or drop a short shot behind their hands.
- Tap as the ring meets the ball, not when you see the ball: a perfect contact on your serve turns it into a jump serve that the wind barely moves.
- A red landing ring means the ball is going out. Leaving it alone wins the rally, and on windy beaches the ring can turn red late, so keep watching it.
- Ends switch every 7 points, and the same wind then blows the other way across your half: shots that drifted in before now drift out.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move my players?
You do not need to: your pair runs to the ball by itself. You decide when each contact happens and where your attacks and serves go.
How do I spike?
When your partner sets the ball, hold your finger on the screen and slide to move the gold ring on the other side, then let go as the ring around the ball closes. With a mouse, point at the sand and click; on a keyboard, aim with the arrow keys and press Space.
What does the faint ring next to the gold ring mean?
It is where your ball would land with no wind. The gold ring is where it really lands, because the wind bends it after the hit. Rivals on the first beaches run to the faint ring.
Why did I lose the rally when I touched the ball?
A ball that would land out still counts if you touch it. When the landing ring is red the ball is going out, so leave it alone and the rally is yours.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, on this device: your stars for every mission and match, the beaches you opened, your missions and best points stay, and the site's device sync can move them to another device.
What happens if my friend disconnects online?
The game's own player takes over their pair at once, so the match never stops, and your friend takes it back as soon as they reconnect.
