About Altura Stack
A bare stone plinth waits in the dusk for someone with a steady hand. Every slab you lay stays for good and shifts the colour of the spire a little further along, from sea green through sand to brick; every careless drop shaves it thinner until there is nothing left to build on.
Drop sliding slabs onto a tower with one tap. The overhang is cut off and the tower narrows; exact drops keep the slab whole, and a streak grows it back.
How to play Altura Stack
A slab slides back and forth above the tower, first along one side, then the other. Tap, click or press Space to drop it. Any part that hangs past the layer below is cut off and falls, so the next slab is smaller. Drop it exactly on the layer below for a perfect: the slab keeps its size and a chime plays. From the third perfect in a row, each perfect grows the slab back a little, up to its starting size. The slab speeds up as the tower rises. The run ends when a slab misses the tower completely; your score is the number of layers you stacked. The daily challenge compares your tower with the day's other players. Stacking 25 layers opens hard mode, where slabs start at the speed of layer 40 and a perfect grows them back half as much.

Features
One-tap stacking
Tap, click or press Space to drop the sliding slab onto the tower. Every layer you land counts toward your score, and the run only ends when a slab misses the tower completely.
Perfect streak
Land three exact drops in a row and every perfect after that grows the slab back a little, up to its full starting size.
Hard mode
Unlocks once you reach 25 layers. Slabs start at the speed of layer 40 and a perfect only grows them back half as much.
Daily challenge
A shared tower seed once a day, scored against everyone else who played it, resetting every 24 hours.
Tips
- Watch the edge of the layer below, not the middle of the moving slab, and tap when the leading edge lines up with it.
- A cut only shortens the slab along the direction it was sliding. The next slab slides the other way, where that cut took nothing, so use that pass to start a new perfect streak.
- From the third perfect drop in a row, every further perfect widens the slab a little, which is the only way to win back width lost to cuts.
- The slab turns around by itself at the end of each sweep, so if you miss the moment, wait for the next pass instead of tapping late.
- The slab speeds up as the tower grows; tap on the rhythm of the sweep rather than chasing the slab with your eyes.
Frequently asked questions
How many layers can I stack in Altura?
There is no fixed top. The tower keeps rising until a slab misses it completely, and your score is the number of layers you placed.
Is Altura hard, and what does hard mode change?
The base run is about timing, not difficulty. Hard mode unlocks at 25 layers and starts slabs already at the speed of layer 40, with perfect drops growing them back only half as much.
How do I stop the tower from getting too narrow?
Any drop outside the exact window cuts the slab down. Land three perfects in a row and every perfect after that grows the slab back toward its starting width.
Does Altura save my progress?
Your best run and stats stay on this device. Use Sync devices to move them to a new phone or browser with a one-time code; there is no account.
Can I play Altura on my phone?
Yes, it is built for touch. Tap anywhere to drop the slab, in portrait or landscape.
Is there a daily challenge in Altura?
Yes, a new tower seed every day, scored against everyone who played that same seed, resetting every 24 hours.
