About Kedge Box Pusher
Kedge is the dockhand nobody can outpush once the lamps start lighting. Five buildings on the old harbour wait to be cleared: the Wharf Shed, the Foundry, the Ice House, the Dry Dock and the Sluice Mill, each with its own way of getting in the way.
Push crates onto lamps in 30 warehouse rooms. Every crate you dock makes you strong enough to push one more crate in a row.
How to play Kedge Box Pusher
Walk the worker around the room and push crates onto the lamps set into the floor; the room is clear when every lamp has a crate on it. You can only push, never pull, so a crate pushed into a corner stays there. Each crate standing on a lamp adds 1 to your strength, and a push moves the whole row of crates in front of you as long as the row weighs no more than your strength. Wooden crates weigh 1 and iron crates weigh 2. Crates slide across ice until something stops them, a crate pushed into a pit fills it so you can walk over it, and a crate or you standing on a plate holds the gate of its colour open. Tap a square to walk there, tap a crate to see where it can go and tap one of the marked squares to push it there, or swipe and use the arrow keys to move one square at a time. Undo as often as you like.

Features
30 rooms in five buildings
The Wharf Shed, Foundry, Ice House, Dry Dock and Sluice Mill hold six rooms each. Each building adds its own piece: iron crates, ice, pits or plate-held gates.
Strength that grows as you dock
Every crate on a lamp adds 1 strength, and you push whole rows of crates as heavy as your strength. The order you dock crates in decides what you can move.
Par for every room
Each room has a par: the fewest moves that clear it. Clear the room for one star, come close to par for two, match it for three.
Unlimited undo, tap to walk
Undo any number of moves or restart in one tap. Tap a square to walk there, or tap a crate and pick where it should go.
Hard mode and a daily room
Clearing the Wharf Shed opens hard mode, where each room has a move limit. A daily room, mirrored, is the same for everyone and scored against the day's players.
Tips
- Dock the crate that is easiest to reach first: the strength it gives you is what moves the row stuck in the doorway.
- A crate can leave its lamp again. Docking one for a moment, pushing a row, then moving it on is often the shortest way.
- Pushing through a docked crate moves it off its lamp, and your strength drops by 1 for every crate that leaves a lamp.
- Before you push a crate along a wall, check that a lamp lies somewhere along that wall: crates against a wall can only slide along it.
- On ice, park a crate where you want the next one to stop. A sliding crate halts against anything in its way.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pull a crate?
No. You can only push, so think before pushing a crate against a wall or into a corner. A crate that can never reach a lamp again is marked with a cross, and Undo takes the push back.
Why can I not push these two crates?
A row of crates moves only when its weight is no more than your strength. You start with strength 1 and gain 1 for every crate standing on a lamp; iron crates count as 2.
Is every room solvable?
Yes. Every room has been solved in its par number of moves, and every par shown in the game is the fewest moves that clear that room.
How do I play on a phone?
Tap a square to walk there. Tap a crate to mark every square it can be pushed to, then tap one to send it. Swipe to take single steps, and hold after a swipe to keep walking.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Opened rooms, stars and your fewest moves stay on this device, and the site's device sync can move them to another one.
